End-user licence agreement

DJD Jobs is the office system of DJD Renovations Ltd., of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It tracks jobs, reads the company mail, files documents, and raises invoices in QuickBooks Online.

It is a private app. It is not sold, not offered to other businesses, and not available to the public. In these terms, “we” means DJD Renovations Ltd. and “you” means the person using the app.

Only staff and contractors of DJD Renovations Ltd. whom we have given the passcode may use the app. Do not pass the passcode to anybody else. Tell us at once if you think somebody else has it.

A person sent a read-only share link may open the one job that link points at. That is the only use permitted without the passcode.

We give you permission to use the app for the work of DJD Renovations Ltd., for as long as you work with us. This permission is personal to you. You may not copy the app, sell access to it, take it apart to see how it is built, or use it for another business.

The app connects to one QuickBooks Online company. A person with authority over that company must approve the connection on Intuit's own page. By approving it you confirm that you have that authority.

The app raises one invoice for one job, when a person presses the button. It creates nothing else in QuickBooks and it sends nothing to anybody. Reading the invoice, sending it, and collecting the money are done in QuickBooks Online and are your responsibility.

Your use of QuickBooks Online is governed by your own agreement with Intuit, not by this one.

The app reads mail and documents and drafts records from them. It never commits anything on its own: a draft waits in the review queue until a person confirms it, and an invoice is raised only when a person presses the button.

Reading a document is not always correct. Check the figures on the screen against the paperwork before you confirm a job or raise an invoice. The money that leaves the app is your figure, not the app's.

You agree not to:

• put information into the app that has nothing to do with the work;
• try to reach a part of the app or the database you were not given;
• interfere with the app, the schedule that reads the mail, or any service it depends on;
• use the app to break any law that applies in Alberta or in Canada.

We do not promise the app is available at all times. It depends on services we do not run, including Intuit, and on a mailbox and a network. A part of the app may stop working, and the app may be changed or withdrawn.

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind — that it is free of faults, that it is fit for a particular purpose, or that what it reads from a document is correct.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect loss, lost profit, lost business, or lost data arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.

We may end your permission to use the app at any time, and it ends when you stop working with us. You may stop using the app at any time. Ending the licence does not remove the company records already in it.

A change is published on this page with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting it.

These terms are governed by the law of the Province of Alberta and the law of Canada that applies in it. The courts of Alberta decide any dispute.
